Associations
- Association of Regulated Immigration Advisers (ARIA) is a professional association whose membership is open to OISC advisers
- Immigration Law Practitioners' Association (ILPA) is a professional association whose membership is open to OISC advisers
Tribunals
- Asylum and Immigration Tribunal - considers appeals against United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) decisions
- Immigration Services Tribunal - considers appeals against decisions made by the Immigration Services Commissioner to refuse or vary OISC regulated immigration advisers' registration, withdraw exemption or to lay a disciplinary charge
UK Border Agency
The OISC is directly accountable to the Home Secretary and through her to Parliament. The OISC's sponsor unit is within the UKBA.
Voluntary bodies
The OISC works with many voluntary bodies to raise awareness of the OISC's role.
